Mission

The MSM Precollege Parents Association is made up of all parents and guardians of students attending MSM Precollege. We are a group of parent volunteers who work with the Precollege office to enhance the Precollege experience for all of our student musicians and their families.

The PA's role is to provide information and guidance, act as liaison between parents and the Precollege administration and faculty, support the goals and mission of the Precollege division, foster and enhance an engaged Precollege community, raise funds to sponsor various enrichment programs and events throughout the year for our student body and their families.

Some past events hosted by the PA include:

    1. Holding Masterclasses during the Fall and Spring

    2. Hosting post-concert receptions

    3. Organizing fundraisers such as the Fall and Jury Day Bake Sales, and the International Food Festival

    4. Forming a Graduation Committee to assist with measuring for caps and gowns, taking senior portraits and candid photos of the student body, creating a yearbook for the graduating class, selecting a senior gift book and assisting with the graduation ceremony and reception

    5. Presenting the Parents Association Award to graduates who have earned straight "A's" during their time at MSM Precollege

    6. Scheduling guest speakers for the benefit of our parents and guardians

    7. Honoring our Precollege Faculty and Staff with a Spring Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

    8. Fundraising to support the Precollege PA scholarship fund

    9. And, the list goes on!

This is made possible through the many dedicated parent volunteers and the generous support of suggested annual Parents Association dues of $40 per family.

Thank you for your continued support!
